THE WARREN LAND TRUST WAS AWARDED ACCREDITATION RENEWAL
The Warren Land Trust is pleased to announce that it has been awarded its accreditation renewal from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission (LTAC) in August 2020. The rigorous LTAC program by the National Land Trust Alliance makes sure that land trusts are committed to the highest standards of professional excellence.
The president of the Warren Land Trust, Rebecca Neary states: “This affirmation certifies that we are taking our commitment seriously and that contributions to the WLT are used responsibly according to our mission. We look forward with gratitude to continue maintaining the public's trust and our conservation work in the community.”
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE AN ACCREDITED LAND TRUST?
The accreditation seal stands for Excellence - Trust - Permanence
The seal is a mark of distinction in land conservation. It is awarded to land trusts meeting the highest national standards. Each accredited land trust completes a rigorous review process and joins a network of organizations united by strong ethical practices. This trusted network of land trusts has demonstrated fiscal accountability, strong organizational leadership, sound transactions and lasting stewardship of the lands they conserve. The seal is awarded by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, a program of the Land Trust Alliance, created to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation, and help ensure the long-term protection of land.
